New 360 solo has begun!

whats going on?.. i have just started recording the first song for my next solo, the beat is by Styalz Feugo who i will be working very close with for this record. We are trying to bring something fresh and original to the table, at the same time very musical.. the first track we've started on some some pop/swing shit, absolutely banging beat, with some catchy vocals etc.. the quality of production styalz is whipping up at the moment is insane.. gives me alot of faith working with him that the production is going to be something special!

just thought id keep those interested in the loop!

Also fingers crossed that The Festival Song places highly in the triple j hottest 100! we have a good feeling were going to do quite well!

if you havent voted you can vote here - http://www.abc.net.au/triplej/hottest100/ (make sure you verify your email otherwise your vote wont count)

And also The Festival Song FILM CLIP will be launching on the 6th of FEB in melbourne at the Hi Fi Bar, We shot the video all over the pyramid rock festival at phillip island! really looking forward to seeing how it turns out, it looked like some quality shit from what i saw!

So hopefully people have started to chill on the benders (just a little bit) and are ready for a big year.. im glad summer has finally kicked in!

big ups

Music in Australia

is it me or has popular music lately been fucking awesome lately??

its like this influx of great music is blowing up over here, for The Presets to win album of the year is fucking sensational.. those guys are a massive inspiration.. i was impressed when they gave the acceptance speech, they said "most importantly we wanto thank our label, cos when we were in our bedrooms making this kind of music when noone wanted to hear it, they stuck by us" and now look what they have done?? they've brought a totally orginial sound and just raped the country with it.. i was watching foxtel at a mates place when MGMT "electric feel" came on, what a fuckin song? i would never expect that kinda shit to do so well here.. fucking oath. its an amazing song.. but for there shows around australia to all sell out almost instantly... there album has sold like hot cakes.. and if you havent copped there album you definately should, probably my favourite release i have heard in a long long time... australia's musical taste is impresssing the fuck outta me!! kings of leon "sex on fire" is another one? what an amazing song. im totally grateful that the festival song has taken off as well! .... im really loving australia's take on music ATM.. its given me faith that good music will work down here.. The amount of live music and festivals going on as well, especially in melbourne... you gotta be happy. i havent heard kanye's new album 808's and heartbreak, its going to be interesting, i have heard its amazing... looking forward to giving it a listen.. his got balls.

heres some tracks im listening to at the moment - i highly recommend these..

Madcon - Beggin (Cop this shit, what a song!)
MGMT - 4th dimension transition (or there entire album for that matter)
Justice - D.A.N.C.E
Kevin Michael - we all want the same thing featuring lupe fiasco
Bloc party - mercury
Bonde de role - marina gasolina
Gnarls Barkley - surprise

all the best for the weekend.

Started new album..

ive started working on my next solo project, im extremely excited about it.. i feel i've grown massively as a person and as an artist since i released 'what you see is what you get' - so im confident with the right production behind me ill be able to make a really great album.. this time around i definately dont wanto "settle" for beats, i do find its very hard out here to find top quality universal standard production, and you find yourself settling for beats rather than being blown away by them.. with that said i dont think i was ready when writing and recording 'what you see is what you get' to use world wide standard beats... but i do feel i am now... im more hungry than i have ever been, more inspired than i have ever been.. all i've been doing for the past year is trying to improve as an mc and as an artist, im learning more and more about my delivery, voice, flow etc.. im far from where i wanto be, but im definately going to get there..

with this album im working on, im really going to make sure im happy 100% with every track before putting it out, i wanna do something different sound wise! id love to team up with a producer who is keen on making an original new sound.. my musical taste has differed like crazy since my release, im heavily into electro, house, rock, indie and more.. im loving the presets! im loving mgmt, i havent heard any hip hop thats really blown me away lately..

also in the process of working on the forthwrite album with pez, we have Countbounce from Tzu producing majority of tracks, the beats we have so far are amazing.. he's on a really high quality original sound.. im so excited about this release as well!

just thought id keep heads in the know of whats going on..
